Renegades Ready to Kick-Off 2008 Season 04/14/08 Team Press Release The Alabama Renegades women's full contact football team will travel to Chattanooga, TN this Saturday (April 19) to kick-off their 2008 season. The Renegades will face the Chattanooga Locomotion. The Locomotion consistently have a strong team and advanced to the second round of playoffs last year. The Renegades finished at 3-5 in 2007 but have added some new coaches and new players, and are excited about the 2008 season. "We have some knowledgeable coaches and exciting new players this year and we are looking forward to having a great season", states Renegades general manager Lori Campbell. The Renegades are on the road for the first two games of the season and will host their home opener on May 3 against the Cincinnati Sizzle, owned and coached by NFL veteran Ickey Woods. The Alabama Renegades are part of the National Women's Football Association (NWFA). There will be eight games played in the 2008 regular season. The team will travel to Cincinnati, OH, Louisville, KY, Chattanooga, TN, and Pensacola, FL. The NWFA is the largest league in the world for women's full contact football.
